Whether you're a minimalist when it comes to beauty or go all-out glam, keep reading for my tips on the ultimate guide to your wedding day makeup.
It's your big day! Your wedding and like the saying goes "a picture is worth a thousand words." How your makeup looks is very important not only for vanity's sake, but for photographs. With the creation of digital and HD cameras, every pore is now visible! So be sure to hire a professional who can give you the look you want.
Make sure you get your hair styled before the makeup application. This will ensure a fresh, long-lasting look that won't get smeared by styling products, such as hairspray.
Natural doesn't necessarily mean bare and your Makeup Artist will make sure that the chosen products photograph properly. Most importantly, it's all about layering and using the correct skin care products for a glowing look. Your eye, lip and cheek colors should all complement each other.
The eyes are the most important feature you'll want to "play" up. Eyeshadow colors should be neutral or slightly smoky, however I recommend an application of faux lashes because they will make your eyes really stand out in photos!
Finally, your overall wedding day makeup look should complement your personality as well as your wedding. Your look will be considerably different if you were getting married on a farm versus in a more formal setting.
