How Princess Eugenie's Wedding Beauty Made A Statement

Two royal weddings in one year, oh my! Princess Eugenie, the Queen's granddaughter married Jack Brooksbank as the world watched. All the important elements of a wedding were on full display; the dress, the flowers, the guests, but there was a special aspect to her overall beauty look! The princess usually wears a heavier lined eye, but choose a more refined yet natural look for her nuptials. Bobbi Brown Makeup Artist Hannah Martin had the honor of creating this Royal Wedding makeup look, the same artist who gave Kate Middleton makeup lessons in 2011.

The Princess wore a sheer layer of foundation, pink flushed cheeks and full brows. However, the feature that "popped" the most were her lids and lashes! I loved the bronze-toned eyeshadow and how fluttery and defined her lashes were. Everyone knows that Princess Eugenie is a fan of the "smoky eye", so I feel this provided a really good balance between what she likes and royal wedding protocol. The look was completed with a rosy pink lipcolor topped with gloss for added shine.

Princess Eugenie's makeup was feminine and complemented her red hair!

The Princess said that she hoped showing her scar would honor those who helped her and inspire and others with scoliosis.

The Queen's granddaughter showed scars from a back surgery she underwent when she was 12 years old.

Being a Makeup Artist I understand how the use of colors and textures can enhance a bride who wants to feel her most confident for her wedding day. But the biggest impact makeup has for me is the ability to highlight inner beauty. One of my favorite quotes by #MarilynMonroe is "Imperfection Is Beauty". I applaud the Princess for sharing her moment to empower others!
